Shelley Crosby
I was born and raised in the little coastal town of Tillamook, Oregon, a farming community. I have a twin sister, Sherry who lives in Mesa, an older sister Sonja Lee (married to Randy Lee) who lives in St. Johns and a younger brother, Curt. I am a convert to the church. A Senior missionary couple, the Montgomery's, who were serving in Tillamook taught our whole family the gospel and we were all baptized. We were living on a dairy farm at the time, milking about 80 cows twice a day. We had chickens and a few ducks, baby calves, a dog and a horse. It was a great life, even though we had lots of chores to do.
At the time Tillamook only had a small branch, and they soon made my Dad the Branch President. We were all so excited about being members of the church and we were all very involved in helping our little Branch. At a very young age, I remember having to play the piano for some of the meetings because there wasn't anyone else. In High School, we had early morning Seminary and my Dad let us have a car only because I was to pick up several of the other students that didn't have a way to get there. There was only about 7 members of the church in our whole High School. I was the very first one to attend all 4 years of Seminary in our Branch.
After High School, I attended BYU, because of course, if your family wants you to marry an LDS boy, that's where they send you. I also went to a Medical/ Dental Assistant school and worked in a Dr. office for about 3 years. I met LaVerl Crosby and we were married in the Mesa Temple. We have 7 children, 5 who have served missions, all who have been married in the temple and we now have 12 grandchildren.

In this class I hope to encourage you to learn and use the tools that will drive the family to your desired destination. Your destination must start with Vision. Once the vision is set, the tools; The Four Basic Skills and The Rule of Three, will give you the skills to help make the journey smooth. If you are feeling overwhelmed, driven by emotions, reactionary rather than purpose driven, etc. these skills will help you and your family communicate effectively and see immediate results!
I’m nearly bursting to sharing my mission of presenting this message with all who desire more calm, peaceful, teachable hearts in their family! Can hardly wait to meet you and share the journey!
